precisExcite® & STANDARD Collimator
The collimator combines the light from the various LED wavelengths and produces a collimated 40mm diameter beam which enters the microscope. In the Standard configuration of precisExcite, all excitation and emission filters are mounted in the cubes within the microscope itself or in filter wheels. This is suitable for most fluorescence applications and as a secondary light source for Confocal microscopes. Standard configuration systems can be upgraded by replacing the STANDARD collimator with the pE-2 collimator where fast-switching (in microseconds) with no moving parts is desirable.
