precisExcite^® LED light-source is now Modular

As precisExcite^® continues to establish itself as the premium light source for fluorescence microscopy, the product has been significantly enhanced. Configuration has become modular with the introduction of LED Array Modules (LAM^®s). These modules are interchangeable and allow the user to select the desired wavelengths for excitation. A range of LAM^® s is now available and will be increased regularly as new wavelengths are added.

Speaking at the recent European Light Microscopy Initiative (ELMI) meeting in York, James Beacher, Business Development Manager for precisExcite, said, "There has been overwhelming interest and support in the move to interchangeable LED arrays. Our demonstrations during the meeting confirmed that users want the added benefit of selecting specific wavelengths for their application."


Nick Read, CoolLED's Technical Director, said, "We are very pleased with this development of precisExcite^®. LED technology is developing fast and we look forward to increasing the range of wavelengths available. LEDs are becoming more powerful and available at more wavelengths all the time."
